1. Pay attention to school more than your social life: When I was in Colorado for the first part of sixth grade I was paying so much attention to my social life that I almost failed. When I moved back down to Texas I had to work extra hard to pass. It was the hardest time I have ever had in school. NEVER FORGET ABOUT SCHOOL!
2. Dont change for someone else: My sixth grade year I really liked this guy a lot, and he completely ignored me. But even thought he was a complete jerk to me I only saw his looks; he was really tall and had blonde hair and these beautiful electric blue eyes, but he wouldnt even say hi to me when we ran into each other outside of school. So I decided to change for him. I became really preppy and started wearing Holister and American Eagle! I dyed my hair blonde and started using the words like and totally a lot. Well he finally asked me out and I said yes. We dated for about a month and then we broke up. I realized what a jerk he was and I learned to never change for someone else because you will regret it.
3. Never turn your back on a friend: In seventh grade I was friends with this girl, Alex. She was really quiet, but once you got her talking she was very outgoing. She was really good at helping with problems. We had been best friend since fourth grade and did everything together. Well one day a new girl came into my math class and I decided to talk to her. Eventually we became really close and I started to ignore Alex. (Not completely but enough to make her mad) Well we never really mended our relationship and I wish we had because I could rally use her support right now. Moral: Keep your friends close, you may need them later.
All these stories may have shocked you, but nothing compares to what I did my last year in middle school.
4. Dont pay attention to rumors and dont start any: 8th grade, I was in Seguin. There was this girl, LeLeaky. (Her real name was Sandra.) She was always a starting rumor about my friends and me. She went as far as to tell everyone I was pregnant! So one day I got mad and started telling everyone she had AIDS and that she was dieing. And to my surprise people believed it. Well it turned out she was dieing, but not literally, she started becoming more anti-social and stopped caring. Then one day she stopped coming to school. She made her mom transfer her to Oklahoma! For about a month everyone thought she died. I felt so bad. I stared going around defending her saying she didnt have AIDS and she wasnt dieing. I told them where she was but I never owned up to the rumor. I still feel really guilty. Moral: Even if you dont like someone you cant start rumors that can really upset him or her. YOU WILL REGRET IT!
Well I have learned not to do all of the things mentioned above and so far my high school year has been great. I have great friend and good grades.

I am interested in being a photographer, but I don't really know how to get started.
